This iteration of the Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage Shoes pays homage to some of the earliest versions of the basketball sneaker, with white leather dominating the upper complimented by suede grey trims surrounding the toe-box and lateral panels. Layered leather panels on the eyestays and swooshes in black give the shoe a deconstructed look, added to by the exposed foam on the tongue. Final subtle details include an embossed spell out on the heel tab and an off-white midsole for a vintage touch.

With its roots in sportswear, this model still retains all of the essential functional attributes; including a raised collar and foam tongue for support with every step. Additionally, responsive cushioning in the midsole and sockliner retains comfort and shock absorption, while herringbone patterning maintains traction.

Over 40 years ago a canvas sneaker revolutionised the basketball court, the Blazer went on to become the face of Nike’s basketball campaign before Jordan. They have retained their icon status and become the canvas of reinventions and collaborations for the decades since.
